About Air Iceland Connect
Air Iceland Connect is a dynamic company with firm roots that go back to the start of aviation in Iceland. Air Iceland Connect is a flexible yet powerful airline servicing domestic flights in Iceland and the North Atlantic countries.
Air Iceland Connect is Icelandair Group‘s subsidiary. In March 2020 all operations of Air Iceland Connect were integrated into the operations of Icelandair. All supporting functions, such as sales, marketing, operations, finance, HR and IT were integrated into Icelandair’s operations. The Air Operators Certificate (AOC) of Air Iceland Connect, however, will remain separate, and its crew members will remain employed by the company.
Air Iceland Connect flies from Reykjavik to Isafjordur, Akureyri and Egilsstadir, as well as to Kulusuk, Narsarsuaq, Nuuk and Ilulissat in Greenland. In addition, Air Iceland Connect offers flights to the Faroe Islands. Air Iceland Connect has two Bombardier Q400 airplanes and three Bombardier Q200 airplanes.
The head office of Air Iceland Connect is located in the capital, Reykjavik, but the company's registered domicile is in Akureyri, the main town in north Iceland. Both Reykjavik Airport and Akureyri Airport serve as hubs for Air Iceland Connect route network.
